Description
The NEF range is the most compact, efficient and cost-effective engine solution in the 6-8 ton truck, bus and coach category.
Developed looking at the TCO, the NEF engines were conceived to maximize durability and long service intervals, and to minimize fuel consumption.
In addition to road transport, they cover applications like agriculture, construction, industrial, marine and power generation. This is the best proof of their reliability and versatility.
NEF EURO VI step E engines come in 4- and 6-cylinder configurations, with displacements ranging from 4.5 to 6.7 liters. Moreover, the 6.7 liter is offered in natural gas version for cleaner and cost efficient regional and urban missions.
All NEF engines can be customized with optional types of oil sump, transmission, radiator, air filter and muffler. Special arrangements are provided on demand for compressor, air conditioning compressor and steering pump.

Thanks to latest-generation Common Rail injection, waste-gate turbocharger and EGR-free architecture, NEF engines ensure optimal combustion efficiency – resulting in low fuel consumption and high performance. The regeneration-free HI-eSCR system avoids unplanned stops (especially in indoor, sensitive environments).
