Agritechnica, the world’s leading trade fair for agriculture equipment and technology in Hannover, Germany, was taken over by FPT Industrial with many exciting announcements. The first one was the unveil of F28, an engine with Diesel and Natural Gas versions designed to be small, productive and environmentally friendly.
Because it is designed for specialized and small utility tractors, the main features of F28 are its compactness and high performance to meet the needs of space and productivity of these applications. It delivers maximum power of 55 kW and torque of 375 Nm and it is compliant with Stage V and Tier 4 Final emissions standards.
Preparing for the alternative fuels demand in the farming field, FPT will also offer the Natural Gas version of F28, which will further reduce pollutant emissions. When running on biomethane, it could reduce CO₂ emissions to almost zero and contribute to a circular economy.
