Description

The V20 is FPT Industrial’s most powerful engine, extending the high-power range to 670 kW and torque up to 4100 Nm.

Its lean V8 architecture, with a 90° cylinder bank angle, makes the 20.1-liter engine remarkably compact, ensuring space efficiency and reduced weight, while twin turbochargers optimize performance in any condition.

Built for durability, the V20 shares a 2200-bar common rail system and key elements with the Cursor engine family, featuring a reinforced engine structure with new cast-iron components that enhance strength and longevity.

With an EGR-free design and optimized combustion, the V20 maximizes efficiency and reduces friction compared to complex V12 engines. Its SCR-only aftertreatment system, maintenance-free and regeneration-free, eliminates downtime and ensures lower operating costs.

Performance and efficiency are further optimized by the cross-banks exhaust system design, which improves turbocharger fluid dynamics by compensating for pressure waves in the exhaust flow.
